From Bucharest to Transylvania: A Tale Hidden Among the Fog
The journey begins in Bucharest, with wide boulevards, grand buildings, and unexpected energy… On one side, the traces of the old Eastern Bloc, on the other, cafes, parks, and a lively nightlife. At first glance, Bucharest doesn’t reveal itself immediately; but after giving it some time, it whispers its story.
As you leave the city, the landscape changes. Straight roads give way to curves, the air cools, and trees become denser. As the Carpathian Mountains draw near, it feels as though a curtain is being drawn back. Transylvania begins.
A grace hidden among the mountains… And before you stands Peleș Castle. Like something out of a fairy tale but real. Wooden details, towers, gardens… Here, you immediately understand why kings chose this as their summer palace. Silent yet majestic.
The road continues, the fog thickens a bit more, and suddenly Bran Castle emerges. Everyone knows it by another name: Dracula's Castle. Reality and legend intertwine here. As you climb the stone stairs, even the sound of the wind becomes part of the tale. Not frightening; mysterious. And remarkably memorable.
Then comes Brașov, a city that brings peace with its medieval square, colorful houses, and the Black Church. Sitting in a café and watching the surroundings, you lose track of time. This is like the heart of Transylvania.
Along the way, there are villages, meadows, horse-drawn carriages, wooden houses…
Modern life seems to be left a bit behind. The most beautiful aspect of Transylvania is that it doesn’t rush.
You didn’t just change locations; you moved from one atmosphere to another. You gathered a little fog, a little history, and a lot of beautiful stories to tell.
